If A Skier Hucks in the Forest, and Noone Takes a Picture, Does Anybody Care?

It might be called a "ski and snowboard" Festival, but TWSSF is as much a convergence for photographers as anything. With the 13th Pro Photographer Showdown pitting Brian Bielmann, Yves Garneau, Erik Seo, Mason Mashon, Grant Gunderson and Jeremy Koreski against each other, and the new re:Action portrait prize, TWSSF puts up $21,000 cash in prizes to recognise the craft.

Michael Franti and Spearhead

Another great show, but unfortunately this one finishes off the Telus World Ski and Snowboard Festival.. this didn't prevent anyone from singing and dancing with this great show though..

Well, that wraps up my small contribution to this ridiculously fun festival.. I had a blast and my friends and everyone that I talked to feel the same. I am already looking forward to next year, but for now it's back to school.. bah!

DJ Experience

What a night! The Telus Conference Centre was packed with thousands of people ready for one ridiculous night thanks to DJ Dan and Donald Glaude, Mark Farina, Austin Leeds, and Matt the Alien. The atmosphere was electric with the flowing house beats and impressive visual setup. One of the highlights of my night was just seeing all the smiling faces out there.. it truly seemed like everyone was having an amazing time, which really, is what this festival is all about.

Matt the Alien started the night out just right

Austin Leeds provided a deep and moving progressive set

DJ Dan and Donald Glaude, so much energy!

The Trews! Rockin the big stage!

Plenty of action in the crowd during the Trews performance. A playful dog fight took place below the crowd. An awesome performance as people skied off the mountain right up to the stage. The sun even made an apperence and lit up the excited faces.
