Big Air April 12

WOW - This was a huge event, skiers Plaza was packed and the athletes were throwing down - I am still in awe of the size of that jump and the steepness of the launch ramp. I went up the top of the tower up the very top - far out, the view was amazing, I was gripping the barrier the entire time and could not even imagine plummeting myself down off the side of the thing - those athletes are insane!

Big Air

What a ridiculous night.. Big Air never lets anyone down. Each and every contestant this year was very motivated and it was obvious that they really gave it their all. With around ten thousand people cheering and enjoying the party, it made for a very memorable night!

Sunny Saturday

What a way to begin the Festival! Beautiful sunny skies and 18 degrees in the village; a day full of smiles and bright red faces. It made for quite the interesting day on the mountain with snow that practically stopped your skis from moving, but it made for a crazy party down in the village that will last well into the night!

Down in the village, they were working hard on the Big Air jump, which everyone in Whistler is looking forward to this evening.. it is definitely the place to be!

Big Air Ski Qualifiers Wrapped Up Today

There are only so many free passes into the Big Air finale, Saturday April 12. The rest had to earn their piece of the sky, and their chance at that epic new jump, a 65 foot step over gap jump.

Here are the skiers who qualified today at the Big Air Ski Qualifiers Event, held on Blackcomb at the High Level Terrain Park:
