The time ticked down to 10am, and as the minute hand worked its way around the face of the clock, flimmakers rushed into the Whistler Conference Center foyer to drop off their films before the cut off. Most arrived looking, well, like they hadn't slept in seventy two hours. A few arrived looking freshly showered and surprisingly put together. A few poor souls arrived with video cameras in hand, telling tales of technology gone awry. The finished film was there, right there, in the stupid camera, they just couldn't get it out. As the last few minutes ticked away, cars came screeching up to the center, spilling out frantic filmmakers who ran to the door, desperate to beat the clock. The results of all that work will be there for everyone to see at the Filmmakers Showdown events.
